KAVALAN SINGLE PODIUM WHISKY

The Kavalan Podium is aged in both new American oak casks and Kavalan’s own re-fill casks. This is a rather unusual combinations for Kavalan, as they normally stick to first-fill sherry, bourbon or vinho barrique casks, all of which are very active due to being “first-fill”.

With part of the whisky making up this bottling having been aged in brand new American oak casks, it will still have some of their trademark, cask-driven intensity which they really master, but mixed with whisky aged in much less active, re-fill casks, which lets the spirit do the talking which makes for a more a complex whisky.
